The major immersive exhibition on the painter Claude Monet opens its doors at the Carrières des Lumières in 2025. Through this digital retrospective, Monet’s light and life-like compositions will come to life on the century-old walls of this magical site.
The short exhibition takes you back to the first steps of naive art in France. Spontaneous, dreamlike, sometimes childlike, this new approach to painting is embodied in the works of Henri Rousseau.
Now a highly popular site in Provence, the Carrières des Lumières are located at the foot of the town of Les Baux-de-Provence, in the heart of the Alpilles, in a truly mysterious area: the Val d’Enfer. Since 2012, the Carrières des Lumières put forward digital, immersive and contemporary exhibitions. Young and old alike come to live a unique experience, explore limitless universes, and let themselves be carried away to the heart of Art.
